Would you like to get to know Freiburg better, meet other freshmen and engage with the topic of sustainability? Join us at the “Erstiakademie BaWü zukunftsfähig”, an introduction week for all students who are starting their first semester at the University of Freiburg 🙂 .

The program is designed for first-year students of all disciplines. It offers you the opportunity to get to know each other, to exchange ideas in an open and creative atmosphere and to explore the city. Through workshops, lectures, a guided city tour and a lot of personal exchange, we will shed light on the topic of sustainability from different perspectives. We invite you to discover and critically question different options for action regarding the current global challenges. At the same time, you will get to know the various university initiatives and organizations that are active in the field of sustainability in Freiburg.

Participation

The participation fee for the First Semester Academy in Fribourg is 5€. Please bring the fee with you on the first day. If this is a problem for you, please do not hesitate to contact us via email, we will find a solution!

Program

Through workshops, lectures, city tours, panel discussions, and much more, we will explore the topic of sustainability from different perspectives. At the same time, you will get to know the various university initiatives and organizations that are active on this topic in Freiburg.

Please note that most workshops will be held in german.

When multiple online sessions are scheduled at the same time, you can decide which one to join. On the first day, we’ll organize the groups.

Registration

There are 50 spots for the Firstsemester Academy. As soon as these are full, we will open a waiting list. Please send us an email if you have registered and later realize that you cannot participate. This way you give others the chance to participate.

Until 21th september you can register here. With your registration you commit to pay a participation fee of 5€ on the first day of the Firstsemester Academy. Please make sure that you have 5€ cash with you on this day.
